Bernhard Langer works with European Golf Design and IMG Golf Course Design Services depending on the region, and despite a growing portfolio has not yet demonstrated any real feel or ability in this field. This could possibly be because IMG do most of the design work while Langer poses for the photographs, or it could be too much time spent calculating yardages and not enough time spent admiring effective design features.

The Brunwies course at the Bad Griesback resort in Germany and Dachstein in Austria are both uninspiring.
