The father of 2013 Masters Champion Adam Scott, Phil Scott is a professional golfer himself who turned to golf course design some time ago and created the Peregian Springs course in Queensland. Pending planning approval and financing, he may be involved in other developments in Australia with his famous son.

Peregian Springs is an unremarkable course, that does suffer from the lack of a decent landscaping budget as well as a compromised site for golf. The course has been through various owners and struggled at times to stay open.

Scott Golf Designs is Phil Scott's company, and Adam Scott is apparently available for signature projects if the client wants to use the younger Scott's smiling face to help sell house and land plots.

Scott's high profile in Australia and Asia is likely to lead to some interest in Scott Golf Design, and it will be interesting to chart the company’s progress in the years ahead.
