Royal Montreal Golf Club - Red Course

Canada, Quebec, Montreal
4.5 (2)
Designer: Dick Wilson
Course Opened: 1959

In Volume 3 of The Confidential Guide to Golf Courses, Tom Doak published that.

“The Red is mostly a well-preserved example of Dick Wilson’s work, but the many fairway bunkers are becoming lost in the trees creeping into play at the margins. Sadly, in the 1980s Joe Lee added a bunch of “bumpers” at the back of greens at the members’ request that take the edge off the course. The par-4 5th with its narrow front panhandle and the short 7th with its abrupt fall-offs were my favorite holes.”

The Red Course at Royal Montreal Golf Club received a score of 5 out of 10 from Tom Doak.
