The second oldest golf club in Denmark, Aalborg Golf Club was founded in 1908 on the initiative of Eugen Schmidt, a young chemistry engineer who moved to Aalborg in 1907. Schmidt was very sporting and had participated in rowing, fencing, tennis and ice-skating during his young years. In 1896 he attended the first Olympic Games in Athens and won Olympic Gold in 1900.

After arriving in Aalborg, he immediately began promoting and participating in various sports and sports, including the construction of the first golf course in Aalborg.

The course is situated in beautifully hilly terrain with lakes and forest near the Limfjord. 
The club has hosted several championships, most recently Made in Denmark Challenge in 2016, and has an organization that can professionally contribute good experiences, big and small.
