Very near the heart of London, this is a nice club with an 18-hole Outer Course routed around a shorter, and less inspired, Inner Course. Although there are some strong holes here, and a number of earnest green sites, overall it lacks the character, and heather, of the region’s premier layouts. The fairways and roughs were also a little too green when we visited to appeal to those who enjoy things firmer – and browner.
