Karnataka Golf Association

India, Haryana
Course Opened: 1989

It was in 1973, that a group of avid golfers from Karnataka, embarked on a mission of identifying Bangalore as the golfing capital of South India. The search for a suitable site for an international standard golf course started in right earnest and in May 1980, the then Chief Minister of Karnataka, Shri. R Gundu Rao personally took the initiative to hand over 125 acres of land in Challaghatta to the Karnataka Golf Association.

Karnataka Golf Association is a renowned 18-hole course designed by Thomson and Wolveridge and opened in 1989. Troon International work closely with the team at KGA to enhance the course and push it into the international sphere.

Karnataka Golf Association is recognised for its par 72 6,945-yard course; however, it is also graced with a large driving range, idyllic clubhouse, swimming pool and a gym. These features separate the complex from surrounding courses in Bangalore and present potential to rise and become internationally revered. Troon’s experience in upscale golf course management will be integral in this development and their well decorated staff will ensure that results.
