In Volume 2 of The Confidential Guide to Golf Courses, Tom Doak published that.
“This Four Seasons resort venue to the north of Puerto Vallarta is famous for its island-green par-3 3rd hole; the green is out on a sandbar in the ocean 150 yards off the beach, with a rock outcropping behind it just big enough to keep most of the salt water at bay, and special amphibious transportation to shuttle golfers out to the green. It’s a golf-designer fantasy hole – and I do like it much more than the floating green at Coeur d’Alene, because this is entirely natural – though it is more appealing in aerial views than from ground level. Unfortunately, that’s about the only thing I remember about the course.”
Pacifico Golf Course at Four Seasons Punta Mita received a score of 6 out of 10 from Tom Doak.
