Twin Dolphin Golf Club

Mexico, Baja Peninsula, Cabo San Lucas
Designer: Fred Couples
Course Opened: 2018

Designed by Masters champion Fred Couples, in collaboration with Todd Eckenrode, the Twin Dolphin Golf Club is a modern resort course in the Cabo region of Mexico, which enjoys beautiful views of both the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez.

The project’s origins date back to the Global Financial Crisis, and after an almost decade-long hiatus was finally constructed during 2016-2017 for an opening in late 2018.

The course was named after a famous Cabo hotel that once occupied the same location, and is notable for its scruffy bunkering, generous playing corridors and nice use of the natural topography. Arroyos are a key feature on several holes, as are rock outcroppings and some dramatic elevation changes. The views are virtually ever-present, and provide exciting backdrops on holes such as the downhill par three 14th and par four 15th.

The Twin Dolphin development also includes residential allotments and a resort hotel.
