Miklagard Golf Club

Norway, Oslo
Course Opened: 2001

Miklagard Golf opened in June 2001 with the intention of being one of Europe's best golf facilities. Miklagard is located in Ullensaker municipality, an area with strong historical traditions dating back to the Viking Age.  The name Ullensaker originates from the Norse Ullinshof. Miklagard is the Norse name for Istanbul, historically known as an important trading centre. All the holes on the course have been named after Norse gods and kings. Signs, buildings and the look of the track are inspired by Norse history.

Architect Robert Trent Jones Jr. has designed Miklagard Golf. Miklagard consists of an 18-hole international championship course that has received many great awards for quality and design. In 2020, six newly designed holes were ready for play. In August 2019, Miklagard opened its new driving range - located behind the clubhouse. (a "putt" from the terrace). Training areas for close play and putting are clearly close to the range. A very compact plant. The course is designed for the use of golf carts and we have 20 modern cars for hire. Miklagard is known for its good greens. The quality of the greens, fairways and tees meet a high European standard.
