Vallda Golf & Country Club is a championship course with Scottish inspiration. The architect Martin Hawtree has designed and re-designed several classic courses such as Royal Birkdale and Carnoustie in England, Lahinch and Royal Dublin in Ireland as well as Royal Melbourne in Australia. Just the greens are a sign for Hawtree, as evidenced in all his projects. At Vallda, Hawtree has focused on making a strategic course with amazing green areas. Vallda has in recent years been ranked as one of Sweden's 10 best courses of the newspaper Golf Digest.

It was in the mid 1990's that the dream was born. Peter Teiffel, August Lindeblad, Anders Rabbe and Reine Rosén had a common vision - to create a British lane in the areas surrounding Kungsbacka. After looking for a suitable area, it was decided to bet on Valldadalen, 86 hectares of meadow surrounded by oak forest, one mile west of the city. A few years later, the building law was granted and the successful golf designer Martin Hawtree was contacted to design the golf course. In May 2009 the first nine holes were opened and two months later 18 holes were ready for play. The rest is history.
