Designed by Doug Carrick for fellow Canadian developer Frank Stronach, the Adena Golf & Country Club opened in 2015 but sadly went out of business midway through 2018.

The 1,200-acre property was purchased for more than $17 million in 2008, and golf course construction was rumoured to have cost another $50 million to complete. A plan to include 120 homes along the course appears to have stalled.

The course was rated among America's Top 100 residential golf courses by GolfWeek magazine in 2018.
