Bandon Crossings Golf Course

USA, Oregon, Bandon
6 (1)
Designer: Dan Hixson
Course Opened: 2007

Opening in 2007, Bandon Crossings is an affordable public golf course in Bandon, Oregon, a short distance from the acclaimed Bandon Dunes Resort.

The course was developed by Rex & Carla Smith from Eugene in Oregon, and primarily as a low-cost alternative to the expensive 5-star trimmings of the town’s more famous coastal golf resort. The couple engaged former professional Dan Hixson as their golf designer and consultant, and Hixson by all accounts threw himself completely into the design and construction process. Bandon Crossings was Hixson’s first completed course, and has been followed by the fine Wine Valley layout in Washington state and the quirky, reversible Silvies Valley Ranch project in eastern Oregon.

With a more sheltered location and modest green fee, Bandon Crossings is popular with many and well worth considering for those visiting the now famous coastal town for golf.
