Omaha Country Club

USA, Nebraska
5.3 (6)
Course Opened: 1927

Originally routed by Langford and Moreau but redesigned by Perry Maxwell, Omaha CC sits on an unusually sloping piece of ground for this part of the world. The property is beautifully treed and has a charming old-school feel, helped by an attractive and varied set of aggressively pitched green complexes. While the greens are mostly terrific, the quality of actual holes is often lessened by the narrowness of the fairways and the use of thick rough around green collars. Keith Forster appears to have done some nice work restoring bunkers and putting contours, but these fairways lean so steeply that greater width and additional tree clearing would work wonders.
