Officially launched in March, Lovedale Farm is a major resort and residential golf development located on 240 hectares of picturesque Hunter Valley country. The project is being developed by Capital Corporation from Sydney, and when complete will include 500 houses, a 300-room resort and an 18-hole golf course.

With its prolific soil, spectacular landscapes and easy access from Australia’s largest city, the Hunter Valley is the country’s most-visited wine region. Lovedale Farm is situated among the historic properties of famous winegrowing families and their welcoming cellar doors. The Hunter also enjoys a growing reputation for fine food, with dozens of local eateries ranging from bustling cafés to hatted restaurants.

The Lovedale land parcel has been planned as a true rural haven for residents and visitors, with more than half of the site dedicated to recreation and green open space. As the property is located across Wine Country Drive from the established Vintage golf development in Pokolbin, it is expected that Lovedale Farm will further cement the Hunter Valley as one of NSW’s most popular golf destinations. The new course aims to differ from The Vintage course, by providing golfers with a more distinct rustic golf experience. Several holes run adjacent to Black Creek, while others traverse a series of smaller natural waterways.

The course routing was produced by Darius Oliver, who also provided the developer with hole by hole concepts that are being refined by the project’s golf design coordination committee. That committee includes engineers, agronomists, ecologists, construction specialists and other consultants working with representatives of Capital Corporation.

The Lovedale Farm golf design coordination committee shall be responsible for the final design of the course, and delivering the developer's vision for golf on the property.

Although disappointed to have been replaced as course designer, Oliver told Planet Golf that he was confident in the course routing and hopeful the design team assembled by Capital Corporation could deliver them a high quality result.

Lovedale is a nice site" said Oliver, "and I wish them the best with the final design. I’ll be interested to see how the course turns out.

Construction of the golf course at Lovedale Farm is scheduled to begin in early 2026.

Beyond golf, the Lovedale Farm development will also feature a 5-star resort facility, along with a vibrant food and beverage precinct, and state-of-the-art wellness centre.

The first residential release includes 61 turnkey homes, with sales already surpassing $60 million since its March launch.
