Media Release:
PGA of Australia and Golf Australia have today announced a renewed and expanded partnership with Trackman, reinforcing a shared commitment to innovation, high performance and enhanced fan engagement across the sport.
The extended agreement will see Trackman’s industry-leading ball-tracking and performance technology play a larger role across elite competition, high performance pathways and coach education programs in Australia.
A key feature of the renewed partnership is the expansion of Trackman’s broadcast shot tracing technology in collaboration with Golf Australia. Trackman will now feature in both the men’s and women’s Australian Open championships, giving fans watching at home rich data and insights.
Trackman will also become an Official Partner of Golf Australia’s High Performance Program, supporting the development of Australia’s next generation of elite golfers through cutting-edge data, analytics and training tools used by the world’s best players and coaches.
In addition, the partnership includes renewed and increased support of the PGA of Australia’s PGA Academy and the Membership Pathway Program (MPP), further strengthening coach education and player development at all levels of the game.
The partnership will also support Trackman’s broader Trackman 360 vision, connecting practice, play, coaching and competition across the golf club environment.
PGA of Australia and Golf Australia Chief Commercial Officer Ben Sellenger said the continuation of the partnership reflected the importance of innovation in modern golf.
“Trackman has become an essential part of the elite golfing landscape, from broadcast to player development,” he said.
“They have been a world leader in radar tracking technology for more than two decades and we’re delighted to enter into this renewed partnership that allows us to enhance the way fans experience our major championships while also delivering world-class technology to our High Performance athletes, coaches and emerging professionals.”
Trackman Australia and New Zealand Sales Director Brook Salmon said: “Australia continues to produce some of the world’s leading golfers, coaches and golf facilities, and we are proud to extend our partnership with Australian Golf.
“This partnership allows us to support the game across high performance, coach education, player development and major championship broadcasts.
“It also aligns strongly with our Trackman 360 vision of creating a connected golf-club experience across practice, play, coaching and competition, helping golfers better understand their game while giving them more reasons to engage with their club.”
Trackman’s “little orange box” is a familiar sight on driving ranges at professional golf tournaments around the world and is trusted by elite players, coaches, equipment manufacturers and club fitters to provide ultra-precise data on virtually every aspect of club motion and ball flight.
The company also provides simulator hardware and software for golfers of all levels.
Trackman has also expanded beyond golf, providing ball tracking and other data services to athletes in football, baseball and American football.
