Unfortunately for golf in South Africa, the Golf Digest South Africa magazine published its final issue at the end of 2018. The magazine produced its first Top 100 ranking of golf courses in 2002, having previously compiled a Top 50 list in 2000 and 1998.
This final ranking is notable for the continued rise of the redesigned Glendower course and the curiously low position of the fine Humewood course at #13.
Despite the demise of Golf Digest South Africa, we aim to publish additional South African golf rankings in the years ahead.
