Golf Magazine – Asia Pacific Top 100
2023
In 2023 American GOLF Magazine took its first shot at ranking the Top 100 golf courses in the Asia Pacific region. As is often the case with a US–centric panel, the results are quite odd. Cape Wickham at 15, and behind the likes of Nine Bridges, Cape Kidnappers and others, is just one curiosity. No local Australian Top 100 panel ranks Cape Wickham lower than 3rd, but GOLF place it 7th in the country.
There are other anomalies throughout the list, including very strong results for the Himalayan GC (#23), Whistling Rock (#37), Ayodhya (#38) and the Nicklaus Course at DaNang (#59). Not surprisingly, the courses of panel favourites (and panelists) like Tom Doak and Mike Clayton perform well.
